Hooded Horse to publish roguelite city-builder Super Fantasy Kingdom

Super Fantasy Kingdom has you rebuilding your destroyed settlement in a rush to defend it from approaching hordes. You build your town, recruit your defenders, and make sure they’re fed. You shore up your defenses as best you can, and then between “runs” you unlock upgrades and progress in other ways that allow you to put up a better fight the next time around. There’s also an exploration element to it that is also accomplished under the cloud of impending doom.

I was somewhat skeptical about the concept of Super Fantasy Kingdom at first, but the more I look into it, the more I think I’d really like it. The hordes of enemies remind me a lot of Vampire Survivors, and city building is one of my favorite digital past times. It’s looking like a lightweight and compelling approach to all its established genres. It also says it’s “chill” but it looks to me like you’re constantly juggling tasks to try and keep up.

I guess I could always check out the demo that is available to find out more. And so could you!

Super Fantasy Kingdom is currently slated to arrive on PC sometime in 2024. The current plan is to drop in Early Access initially and grow from there.
