Home beta extended again

If you downloaded the wallpaper in the sweet, hot desire to get into the PlayStation Home closed beta you may have a surprise waiting for you in your inbox. Today PlayStation.Blog announced that the Home beta has been extended to incorporate “thousands” of new participants.

If you didn’t get invited, don’t despair. Sony will be tossing out “many more” waves of invitations before the launch of the open beta. If you’re Europe or North America, you can increase your chances by downloading content and generally being active on the PlayStation Network. There’s other “criteria” involved in the process, so don’t clog up the servers too long.

I haven’t had the opportunity to explore Home quite yet, but I’m ready for it. I just hope that the “social experience” won’t reflect our daily lives. I would hate to come home from a hard day of LittleBigPlanet to find that my dishwasher was leaking.
