“SAFE! SAFE! You’re always safe when you choose Hamilton!” Thus begins this priceless car commercial from Hamilton Nissan (Hagerstown, MD) and Hamilton Hyundai (Chambersburg, PA). A ‘ten’ on the unintentional comedy scale, the two-and-a-half-minute video of ‘The Hamilton Homerun Derby’ features co-hosts Dave “The Dealmaker” and Pete Holman, with a special appearance by Damon Schoen. If you need something to brighten up your gloomy Sunday, check this out.
The kicker is the way that these guys are selling their cars. You know how places like “Crazy Eddie’s” used car dealerships claim that they’re “giving money away”? Well, these guys are literally doing it. Both dealerships have Wiis set up (apparently, the Wii is a “game”) inside, and for the entire month of April, you can try your hand at Wii Baseball for some super savings! It’s just a damn shame that they seem to have the Wii hooked up to an HDTV with composite cables so it’s displaying a 4:3 picture at 480i.
If you buy a car this month, you’ll get a shot at the home run derby mode in the game. But for once, you won’t merely be showing up your grandma. You’ll get a ten-pitch at-bat in the derby, and every home run you hit will count for $100 off of the price of your car. Math nerds have already figured this out: you can save up to $1000 (!) off your new car! So if you’re in the I-81/US-11 area between these two towns, head on over to Hamilton Nissan or Hamilton Hyundai and give it a go!
