More like Hikari Cool
Hikari Ku is the Warrior of Octopath Traveler 2. With a sky-high attack stat and a strong Latent Power at his disposal, Hikari is the premier physical attacker of the eight protagonists. He additionally can provoke enemies to hit him while he boosts his defense and counterattacks, which allows him to function as a dedicated tank as well.
Like Olberic in Octopath Traveler, Hikari natively uses Swords and Spears. That said, this only scratches the surface of what Hikari can do. Let’s go over the details.
Hikari’s Path Actions and Talents
During the day, Hikari can Challenge NPCs. This will trigger a one-on-one battle (pictured above), and afterwards the NPC will be knocked out until you leave or change the time of day. This can be used to gain access to areas that would otherwise be blocked off.
More importantly, Hikari’s Talent Learned Skills adds another layer to his Challenge command. After defeating an NPC, Hikari can choose to copy a predetermined skill used by his opponent. These include healing skills, abilities for weapons Hikari can’t equip, and even some magic spells. Hikari can hold up to five skills learned this way.
Finally, Hikari can use Bribe at night. This lets Hikari pay a small fee to get information from NPCs. While this is generally inferior to Path Actions like Inquire and Scrutinize, those are exclusively daytime actions. Bribe is a great way to uncover items or secrets from NPCs during the night.
Warrior’s Job and Support Skills
Here are all the Job Skills Hikari can acquire via his base Warrior job. The last skill listed requires obtaining the other skills first.
Aggressive Slash: Unleash a sword attack on random foes 3 times.
Piercing Thrust: Unleash a powerful polearm attack on a single foe, and have a 25% chance to deal a critical hit.
Abide: Raise your physical attack for 3 turns.
Enervating Slash: Nullify all positive status effects on a single foe, then unleash a sword attack. The more status effects you nullify, the more potent the attack.
Stout Wall: Raise your physical defense for 3 turns.
Incite: Draw foes’ single-target attacks to yourself for 3 turns.
Vengeful Blade: Grant yourself the ability to counter physical damage with a sword attack 2 times. The counterattack reduces the enemy’s shield points regardless of their weak points.

Finally, here are the Support Skills for the Warrior job. These will unlock as you learn more Job Skills.
Bolstering Break: Raises the equipping character’s physical attack when breaking an enemy.
Summon Strength: Raises the equipping character’s physical attack by 50.
Latent Power Plus: Raises the amount of latent power gained by the equipping character.
Deal More Damage: Increases the maximum damage that can be dealt by the equipping character to 99,999.
Hikari’s EX Skills
EX Skills are character-specific skills. One will be acquired by finding the Altar of the Thunderblade, the other will unlock after completing Hikari’s story.
Shinjumonjigiri: Unleash a sword attack on all foes, then a powerful sword attack on a single foe.
Ultimate Stance: Extend the reach of your Attack to all foes for 3 turns.
