High Voltage: The Grinder is still alive

Recommended Videos

High Voltage Software has declared that its long-forgotten shooter, The Grinder, is still alive and waiting for a publisher. If you can’t remember what it is, it’s a first-person shooter for the Wii that is also a third-person shooter for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. It features four-player co-op and it’s about vampires, which makes it different from Left 4 Dead.

According to level designer Eric Stoli, the game is on “vertical slice status” and the studio isn’t quite sure what the final product is going to be like. Apparently High Voltage is waiting to see if it’ll need to change the game — like add more action or RPG elements — in order to make publishers happy, and that’s why we haven’t seen it in a while.

Such talk is rarely a great sign, but here’s keeping our fingers crossed. They’re good people, those Voltage chaps!
