High Voltage really does love that Infernal Engine

High Voltage, the studio best known for The Conduit and its two upcoming games Gladiator A.D. and The Grinder, has just gotten itself into a lifetime licensing agreement with Terminal Reality’s Infernal Engine.

While the developer may have the Wii covered in terms of pure graphical might, High Voltage wants Terminal Reality’s middleware for its foray into Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game development. To get an idea of what we’re talking about here, look back at Ghostbusters: The Video Game to see what Infernal is capable of doing.

No offense to the hardworking guys and gals at Epic Games, but for once, it’s nice to see something other than Unreal Engine 3 being adopted. Sometimes you just need a break from the same old same old, y’know?
