Hey, now you can play Doom 3 and Monaco on your Xbox One

‘Can’ being the operative word

Two more Xbox 360 games are now playable on Xbox One as the console’s backward compatibility list continues to expand in strange, seemingly random ways: the once-spooky-scary Doom 3 BFG Edition, and the cooperative arcade heist title Monaco.

Interestingly, Doom 3 is not for sale digitally, so you will either need to own the game on disc to play it on Xbox One, or you’ll just have to sit this one out. Which, if that’s the case, Doom and Doom II are already supported (I still play the Xbox Live Arcade ports to this day!), so it’s not all bad.

Monaco is a good get, assuming you have a few controllers to go around. I do not.
