Besides an XP bonus that will work on top of any other boosts you have active (like the one for playing in a party), the whole roster is freely playable.

Lately, I’ve fallen into a pattern of booting up the Battle.net launcher, remembering I have to wait for files to update, then losing interest by the time Heroes of the Storm is ready to go. It’s… silly. And entirely avoidable if I would just leave the app running. I can’t be helped sometimes.
