2K Games has released a debut trailer just in time for E3, showing off the controversial new XCOM. Decision is split right across the board for this new title, taking as it does the form of a first-person-shooter as opposed to the unique strategy game everybody remembers.
Nevertheless, the current game holds promise if this trailer is anything to go by. Taking a cute fifties aesthetic and a B-movie influence, XCOM is at least very stylistic. Despite the “betrayal” of the series’ roots, I’m rather looking forward to it and can’t wait to see more at E3.
