Here’s what we’re doing at PAX East 2011 this week

PAX East 2011 starts tomorrow! Can you believe it? I barely can. As in years past, Dtoiders from around the world are converging on the mecca of geekdom in Boston for three days of gaming, booze and partying. And all because videogames!

We have some meetups planned for each night, all of which are detailed below. Be sure to join our Google Group or follow me on Twitter so you know what’s going on and if plans change!

Thursday night:

For all of the early comers, we’re hosting a meetup with the gang from Machinima at MJ O’Connors Irish Pub on 425 Summer St @9PM. All are welcome to come!

I’m on a panel! I’m guesting with Derek Nolan (, Ross Furman (SFX-360), Stan Press (Astro Gaming) and Morgan Romine (Frag Dolls) to talk about Online Gaming Communities and “Real Life” Relationships in the Cat Theatre from 11 to 12PM. I guarantee my portion of the panel will make you cry and/or turn you on.

Right after that, we’re heading over to the first round of the Omegathon to support our very own Jessica Brohard who is a competing in the epic PAX tournament. It’s going on in the Merman Theatre from 12:30 – 1:30PM.

Trion is having a community party from 6-10PM at the Blu Restaurant located on 4 Avery Street.

Later in the evening, there’s a Brink party at 1 Black Falcon Avenue from 8-11PM.

Finally, there’s the Gamer’s Gone Wild hosted by SFX-360, 2Old2Play and Emminentt. Carlos Ferro is the DJ of the night and it’s going down at at 533 Washington Street from 8-2AM.

Don’t miss The Protomen who are playing at the Main Theatre at 9PM.

Come represent in your Dtoid colors too, cause we’re going to go take the Destructoid group photo somewhere in the convention center at around 3PM.

Then let’s all go to Hong Kong! It’s a great bar from what some of the community are saying so that will be the go to place for the evening. If it sucks, no bigs. There’s a bunch of other bars in the surrounding area.

Cry together with us all as we say our goodbyes at the Atlantic Beer Gardens, just a few blocks away from the convention center. Meetup is at 6PM!
