Here’s some funny concept art of the Scout that could have been

If, like me, you love hearing about games that were never released, or seeing early assets that didn’t end up making it in the final product, then this late night post is right up your alley.

The Official Team Fortress 2 blog has got a few scandalous pieces of concept art for the Scout, which Valve’s Robin Walker calls “embarrassing,” and rightfully so.

Can you imagine if the final, in-game Scout looked anything similar to the concept shown above? I certainly cannot. You can view the transition in all its glory by clicking right here.

Oddly enough, this isn’t the strangest Valve-related concept I’ve ever seen; that honor goes to what I can only describe as mountain man Freeman.
