Will Seven45 Studios turn you into a guitar virtuoso with its Power Gig: Rise of the Six String? The game will utilize a real six string guitar (designed for console use), and will feature “Power Chord Mode.” How does it work? Audio Director Mashi Hasu plays show and tell in this latest developer diary.

“Our hope, is that after playing ‘Power Chord’ mode people are walking away with the fundamentals of guitar playing,” he says.

Fun fact: Hasu is an accomplished six-string player, and a guitar professor at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Another fact: Power Gig is out October 19 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
