Here’s how each Destiny 2 Leviathan raid challenge works

Just the facts

This week the final challenge hit Destiny 2‘s first raid, Leviathan.

Available on both normal and hard these somewhat esoteric tasks require a bit of finesse, so here’s a quick breakdown of how they work.

Royal Pools (Baths):

One raid member has to stay on the middle plate at all times. One floater will relieve every player instead of two. On Prestige this is probably the most difficult encounter to complete, as any mistake basically dooms the team with a wipe. Given that there’s only one floater, picking up other players (and thus, using up two revives in Prestige) is extremely difficult to pull off.

Gauntlet:

You can’t stand on the same plate twice to complete this challenge. It takes coordination, but you’ll just need to rotate plate and runner duties to ensure you aren’t doubling up.

Pleasure Gardens:

Each relic holder can only shoot one plant per damage phase. In other words, you’ll be working with a maximum stack of x24 initially, which is more than enough to one-shot the dogs if your team is remotely competent and has the right tools for the job. Just grab two flowers, have each player choose a dog, and have them solo their charge. Given that this is the strategy most teams have been using anyway, it’s the easiest challenge in the set.

Calus:

This is probably the simplest challenge to understand, but the execution may vary depending on how consistent your squad is. During the “damage phase” of Calus, at least one player needs to be on each platform. Meaning, you’ll only get “one round” instead of the typical four. The most popular setup is to have two players each on the front plates, as the closer you are the more damage you dish out. Rinse and repeat two or three times depending on your damage and you’re done.
