EA had a very snappy presentation today, with very few announcements and mostly just recaps on the development of existing projects. The big news of course is the announcement that the Battlefield Hardline beta is going live today on PC and PS4 — the site is already getting hit hard.
Here’s everything that happened at EA’s 2014 E3 press conference.
News:
- Electronic Arts reveals new DICE Star Wars Battlefront project
- The Sims 4 lets you create and define your sims’ personalities
- BioWare shows concept footage for the next Mass Effect and a new IP
- EA Sports PGA Tour lets you fire flaming balls over battleships
- NHL 15 trailer shows off the physics of hockey
- EA reminds us that the new Mirror’s Edge project exists
- Madden 15 allows more freedom on defense than ever before
- EA unveils more details on Dawngate
- Criterion’s new IP is all about speed and multiple vehicles
- FIFA 15 promises a more vibrant experience
- Battlefield Hardline beta launches today on PS4, PC
Out of everything in EA’s conference, I like the idea of immediately launching a Battlefield Hardline beta at the show. Also, the gameplay footage looked really great, particularly the part involving parachutes and ziplining.
