125 foot free fall
My friend has a dog that’s a Kelpie. Her name is Zappa. There’s a good chance you don’t know this, but Kelpies are Australian herding dogs that are known for jumping on the backs of sheep. Once they’re up there, they walk across the backs of an entire flock to get to where they need to be herding. It’s a neat hereditary instinct.
Because of this, Kelpies are renowned for their jumping ability. They’re often entered into dog high jump competitions. Sometimes they win. I don’t know if they’re the best, but they’re good at it. That’s all you really need to know.
Armed with this information, we taught Zappa to jump into our arms from a sitting position. This mid-size dog effortlessly springing four feet straight up until we catch her. It’s a fun trick. It’s impressive, but she makes it look easy.
Anyway, this Assassin’s Creed man jumps a lot further than Fat Zappa. I guess it’s probably easier to go down than to go up.
