Here are 10 developers who won free OUYA dev kits

Fist of Awesome and more chosen

Despite the price sitting comfortably in impulse-buy territory (as far as tech purchases go), I did not end up backing the OUYA Kickstarter. The last thing I need around here is another system that goes unplayed. For me, the software was always the concern, not the price. The developer kits, on the other hand, were far from cheap.

Developer consoles have already gone out to those who ordered them, but the folks making OUYA have smartly given out free units as well. Through a giveaway in which developers tweeted their pitch, 10 of them were chosen to receive a dev console. Talk about a win-win situation.

IndieGames has been tracking this and has a nice round-up post with trailers for each of the selected titles. They are: Fist of Awesome, MechKnight Chronicles, Syder Arcade, Kid Electro, Space Runner, Legend of Dungeon, iMech Online, Dusty Revenge, Holy Shield, and Starbound. Nice choices there — particularly that last one. Keep the pushing forward, and I’ll be unable to resist grabbing an OUYA before too long.
