Heihachi and Spawn confirmed for Soul Calibur II HD

On both the PS3 and 360 versions

Good news, Soul Calibur fans! It seems as if two parts of the deadly trio that is Heihachi (PS2), Spawn (Xbox) and Link (GameCube) will be headed to Soul Calibur II HD. Specifically, Spawn and Heihachi will be making it to both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. There’s no word on Link at all right now, which we can only presume is a confirmation that things didn’t work out.

Namco didn’t tell us much more than that, instead just noting that this is the first time both characters would be playable in one version, and that Soul Calibur II HD is still scheduled to arrive in the fall of 2013. Considering Soul Calibur II is my favorite of the Soul games, I’m excited to see how the new netcode fares.
