Heh, Lucius II *would* release on Friday the 13th

This doesn’t look good

I liked the idea of Lucius. Not enough games place children in the leading role, much less children who happen to be the devil’s offspring. But good games aren’t built on potential alone.

In his review for Destructoid, Jim Sterling described the title as “lacking in personality, visually ugly, harshly limited, and pieced together sloppily.” Despite its critical reception, Lucius did well enough for Shiver Games to get started on a sequel. Lucius II: The Prophecy is bringing its Omen-inspired sandbox adventure to Steam for $19.99 on February 13, 2015. Because Friday the 13th.

Lucius is held up in a psychiatric ward and it’ll be on you to figure out “when, how, and who to kill” (everyone?) in a five-story hospital and eventually a small town, according to today’s announcement. Can’t say I’m expecting much here other than for this to be all over YouTube.

His face in the thumbnail is pretty dang good.
