Heads roll in We. The Revolution’s first gameplay trailer

The blood of criminals fertilises the soil of liberty

I recently finished playing and loving Return of the Obra Dinn. Its unique gameplay and immersive atmosphere felt like a breath of fresh air with regards to what games can do. We. The Revolution has been on the outskirts of my radar for a while due to its distinct art style and an interesting concept on paper, but not much beyond said art has been seen. Now a little under a month before release, we have a look at how the gameplay is going to work. From what I’ve seen, it should tick a lot of my boxes.

You play as a judge during the French Revolution and, using clues presented to you, must determine who is guilty of treason to the revolution and who is an ally. Along the way, you’ll make enemies, sometimes within your own family. The key to victory and keeping your head attached to your neck is piecing together all that you are given and making the right decision based on that information. We. The Revolution looks like another unique experience that only a game could provide; I just hope the final product lives up to its lofty expectations.

Currently, you can pre-order We. The Revolution on GOG for a 15% discount, while pre-orders are up on Steam for the full price of $19.99. We. The Revolution is slated to release for PC/Mac on March 21, with a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One release planned for the future.
