I’ve been weighing the idea of Spider Armor because deep in my XCOM 2 campaign I haven’t lost a soldier but I have also failed to develop (or afford) any armor beyond the starting gear. I got plasma guns and zero protection. Spider Armor seems like it could be useful coupled with Death from Above snipers, though.
