Pigeon dating simulator Hatoful Boyfriend is flapping on over to PS4 and Vita early next year, Sony and indie publisher Devolver Digital announced today.

“All y’all PlayStation nerds need to stop waiting for The Last Guardian to magically appear and buy my pigeon dating simulator,” said Fork Parker, Devolver’s magnanimous CFO, CEO, and OOH. “It’s the only sensible thing to do.”

The press release also notes “a launch party is currently being planned in front of a bench in Central Park with a bar serving a range of high-end breadcrumbs.” I’ll be there with bells on, Fork.

Hatoful Boyfriend follows the exploits of the only human student at St. PigeoNation’s Institute, a school with plenty of birds for you to romance. Just make sure you don’t take a wrong turn and wind up getting murdered. Yeah, that can happen…

The otome visual novel was developed by Japanese comic artist Hato Moa and first distributed in 2011 under the banner of her doujin circle, PigeoNation Inc. Earlier this year, Devolver and Mediatronic released a remake for western audiences via Steam and other PC distributors.
