Harpoon enormous space creatures to shreds in Blacksea Odyssey

And rock an epic beard while doing it

Developer Blacksea Odyssey recently announced a top-down shoot-’em-up by the same name, in which you can play as a cybernetic old man with a crazy long beard and hunt down giant space creatures with a harpoon.

Blacksea Odyssey features roguelike elements including permadeath and procedurally generated levels, an expansive customization system, fully destructible environments, and enormous bosses “over five times the size of your screen.” Looks exciting so far. I love how the harpoon can tear off huge chunks of enemies and send them drifting off into space.

The team is shooting for a spring 2016 release for PC and consoles, although specific consoles have not yet been mentioned.
