Happy Console Gamer laments lost game saves of the past

No, he didn’t pay me to post this. EA did.

So, maybe I just want an excuse to promote one of my favorite YouTube gaming channels?

In Happy Console Gamer’s latest video (of which he’s had a couple lately), he looks back at some painful memories of losing game saves — something I can relate to, growing up in the pre-Cloud, pre-HDD days of game consoles. He recalls a particularly painful memory of some untrustworthy kids deleting his Symphony of the Night save.

I love HCG’s frankness and personality. There are so many phoney and forced YouTube game channels out there. His is one of the few that I’m always able to connect to and enjoy; however brief and scarce the uploads may be. If you haven’t visited his channel yet, check out his massive backlog of great classic game videos and his recent worst box art video. Time well wasted!
