Hands-free World of Warcraft via Kinect?

Recommended Videos

You can play World of Warcraft without a keyboard using some fancy software code and a Microsoft Kinect motion sensing device, though I’d expect that you’d do this only for sh*ts and giggles, as there are so many keyed input commands for the game.

An OpenNI software for Kinect lets you emulate a keyboard, turning your arm flapping and wiggling into keystrokes. Engadget says that the skeleton is recognized and about 20 motions are mapped to key presses. USC Interactive calls it FAAST, or Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit. It’s still early, but you can that it works fine in the video above.

If you’re wanting some of the earlier mentioned sh*ts and giggles, the software is freely available at this link.
