Halo: Spartan Assault now available for Windows 8 devices

Halo: Spartan Assault, the top down twin-stick shooter, is now available for Windows 8 based phones, tablets, and PCs. In the U.S., Halo: Spartan Assault is available for Windows 8 phones only to customers on Verizon Wireless through August 16. Yes, limit your potential install base on a Windows 8 device. Great idea.

The game sees you as Commander Sarah Palmer and Spartan Davis aboard the UNSC as they relive battles against the Covenant.There’s 25 missions, leaderboards, weekly challenges, and Achievements to earn here.

Spartan Assault can be yours for $6.99. The soundtrack is also available now, and that will run you $9.99. I played the game a little while back and had fun with it. I’d personally pick it up if I actually had anything Windows 8 based.
