Halo 3 promotion lets you experience the game on an IMAX screen

Unless by some cruel misfortune, you are not only blind, but deaf too, you already know that the Halo 3 marketing blitz is in full effect. You’ve seen the commercials, tried the game’s official beverage, and you’ve even heard that one pesky EB Games employee constantly ask if “you want to preorder Halo 3, because, you know, it’s cool.”

Now, Pontiac is going to help create more hype (is that even possible?) with its “First to Play” events. The promotion is going to give gamers a chance to play Halo 3 on IMAX screens in New York and San Francisco.

Additionally, you can also enter to win a copy of the game and receive it “by September 24, 2007.” Yes, that’s one whole freakin’ day before your friends will get their dirty hands on Halo 3.

By going to this Web site, you’ll be able to choose which contest you want to partake in — the IMAX one or the chance to get a copy of Halo 3 one day before everyone else. Unfortunately, you must be a legal U.S. resident and 18 years or older to enter.
