Gundam gets the honor of hosting the PS3 Slim’s first bundle

Hooray! I guess. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Gundam will be gracing the PS3 Slim’s very first bundle with the latest game in the franchise, Kidou Senshi Gundam Senki. The Japan-only package will be known as the Kidou Senshi Gundam Senki Gundam 30th Anniversary Box, and will be available on September 3rd for the Slim’s launch.

Stuffed inside will be a shiny new PS3 Slim, a copy of the game, and product codes for downloading the FA-78-3 Full Armor Gundam and RX-81AS Assault Armor DLC packs. If that still isn’t enough mech porn, there’s aslo a code for download of an original HD animated Gundam film.

The price point is set at 38, 359 Yen, which saves you a whopping 50 Yen (about 54 cents) over the cost of the console and game on their own. Looks like the deal here is the free DLC and movie downloads. Still not bad if you’re a Gundam fan, which I can’t really say, personally. I am, however, a fan of the new PS3 logo making its way to the game’s box art.
