Guinness Book for gamers announced, start working on your speedruns

Depending on your age and your level of obsessive-complusiveness (personal level: high), your internal catalog of video game trivia may be as wide as the day is long, but there’s always some things you don’t know. Wikipedia fascinates me to no end, but I love the idea of the physical Guinness hardcover edition for gamers. Apparently other people thought this was a good idea as well, as the Guinness Book of World Records: Gamer’s Edition hits shelves on February 8th.

The launch of the book is being celebrated with a cross country Guitar Hero III  marathon relay event in which participators get a chance to play one song. Apparently this will be on film, as “rockin” costumes are always encouraged. Only wear your Cher costume if you deem it absolutely necessary to the quality of your entry, please. The event includes London, New York, Sydney, Paris, Toronto and Los Angeles, so if you are located accordingly, you best get to plannin.
