Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R’s netcode is passable on PC

It works at least

Recommended Videos

In the past 24 hours I’ve spent some time with the PC port of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, and I’m partly pleased with the results in terms of the netcode. Your experience really does differ based on the connection rank, with three bars suffering from some light stutter every other round, and four bars encapsulating a more stable experience.

If you’re matched up with anyone with one to two bars, good luck having a consistent round. For reference, the Guilty Gear community has rallied around poor netcode in the past, with GGXXNET providing a fix for XX#Reload. That may happen in the future, but for now, you’re at the mercy of Arc System Works’ implementation.

In other news, the PC port doesn’t have replay support, and you can check out all of the other options in tow in the video below. For $15 it’s not really the “definitive” experience, but it’s not bad work, at least based on my testing.
