Right before the conclusion of the Arc Revolution Cup 2015, Arc System Works decided to drop a bomb on everyone watching the Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- tournament.

The studio announced the follow-up to the current version of Xrd, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-, will launch in Japanese arcades on August 25.

The fighting game will have balance changes as well as three new characters. These include franchise favorite Johnny, the previously-announced tower defense-based character Jack-O’, and the newly-revealed Jam Juradoberi, a martial artist who first premiered in Guilty Gear X.

Nothing regarding a console port or western localization has been discussed at this time.
