Guess who is going to be a zombie in a new iPhone game?

Me!

Since it is impossible to avoid sounding douchey in a post about yourself, I am going to try my best to replace the awkwardness of writing this with my genuine excitement for this really cool news.

The makers of the soon-to-be-released Pocket Zombie for the iPhone — think Tamagotchi meets 28 Days Later — have decided to offer a special Zombie Charity Pack that will feature zombie versions of real-life gaming-related figures: specifically Meagan VanBurkleo from Game Informer, Jessica Chobot from IGN, Liz Enthusiasm from Freezepop, and — gasp! — yours truly!

By purchasing the charity pack for only $0.99 (for a limited time), you receive the full Pocket Zombie game, all four bonus zombies, and the satisfaction of knowing a portion of your purchase is going to each of the charities of our choosing. (For the record, mine is CCIS Pasadena!)

It goes without saying that the game is really fun — taking care of a zombie by feeding it brains and dressing it up in adorable clothes is super addictive — but having the chance to be a part of something that is actively trying to help people in need? Well, that’s pretty gosh darned cool. Also, MY CHARACTER IS IN A SAILOR OUTFIT! And you really aren’t ready for the music that plays when my zombie is on-screen. In a word: amazing.

Check out more info on the game in the current issue of Game Informer (page 11!). And then go purchase the Zombie Charity Pack (the final build of the game will be ready in less than a week)! Not only will you be helping some great causes, but my brain-eating doppelgänger will be only inches away from your privates at all times! Hot.
