A year after the Xbox 360 release, a PlayStation 3 port of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has appeared on the PlayStation Store.

There was no announcement. It wasn’t there, and then suddenly it was. IT’S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE.

Replacing the ‘classic’ version that was available via the store, it looks as though this port takes its cue from the Xbox 360 mobile port, boasting the same trophies as the Xbox 360 version.

You’ll need $15/£11 and 2.1GB of space on your PS3 to make it your own.

When asked why it didn’t annualise its biggest titles, CEO of Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two recently said: We think with the non-sports titles, we are better served to create anticipation and demand. On the one hand to rest the title, and, on the other hand, to have the highest quality in the market, which takes time. You can’t do that annually.”
