Special Reserve Games and iam8bit have announced a series of physical releases for Nomada Studios’ beautiful and evocative adventure Gris, with pre-orders set to go live later today.

Gris, which launched on PC and Switch in December of last year, is both a charming and haunting puzzle adventure, which tells an abstract story of an isolated young woman’s journey through a desolate land. Layered with nuance and metaphor, painted in luscious visuals and soundtracked with a majestic, emotional score, Gris won many fans on release, including your boy, who awarded it the only 10/10 score I’ve given to date.

There are three releases in all, and all for the Nintendo Switch platform. First up is a physical copy of the game, complete with instruction book, art cards and a collector’s box for around $35. The next tier includes a hardcover art book and sheet music of the game’s score for $75. Finally, for the more hardcore Gris fan, a Signature Edition adds a quadfold vinyl soundtrack, along with a painting signed by the game’s creative director Conrad Roset, for a chunky $250.

All three physical editions will be able to pre-order at Special Reserve Games from today until July 17. Gris is available now on PC and Nintendo Switch.
