Gravity Ghost story trailer hints at protagonist Iona’s origin

‘This cat is ugly!’

In Gravity Ghost, the player controls Iona, who is a colorful ghost. The story is told through flashbacks, with scenes showing that Iona was not always a ghost. My scientist deductive reasoning tells me this: at some point she must have transitioned from existing as a regular person to existing as a less traditionally alive person. The story trailer above may provide some hints to her ghostly origin.

Gravity Ghost is set to release next Monday, January 26, and every purchase comes with two copies. Designer Erin Robinson’s idea behind that decision is that Gravity Ghost is accessible (though it requires manual dexterity, there is no fail state) and can be shared with others who might not typically play games.

Expect Destructoid’s review for Gravity Ghost some time this weekend.
