GOG discounts almost 300 games, offers a freebie

Good Old Games has kicked off its holiday sale. Nearly 300 titles are marked down, some up to half off. More than anything else, this is another exercise in self control. Take a look for yourself.

They are also giving out Tyrian 2000 (pictured above) for free. If you have yet to use GOG, I recommend giving that one a download to see how the DRM-free service works. (Heads up, it works quite well.)

It’s funny — you think nothing of much value is releasing during December and you can finally be content with your huge backlog. While that first part is true, that’s not taking into consideration the numerous digital sales. Add another game (or ten) to the pile of shame!
