Football simulator GOALS is coming soon to PC and consoles worldwide, and we won’t need to wait long to try it out. After a successful beta test earlier in 2026, developers Goals AB announced the release date in May.

GOALS release countdown

GOALS goes live worldwide on Thursday, June 4. The following countdown will expire once the game is live.

Hurry Up!

The countdown is based on the following times.

  • 7am PT
  • 9am CT
  • 10am ET
  • 2pm UTC
  • 3pm BST

This information is from the official GOALS website. Any change at this stage is unlikely, but I will update the timer if anything comes up.

What to expect from GOALS

GOALS is an alternative take on the football simulators currently on the market. There are no licensed footballers, and the core concept works similarly to Ultimate Team. You open packs to get different cards and build your team with them.

The main objective is to win across all the available modes to get better rewards. You can then use these rewards to improve your team and participate in harder tasks. No two players are the same, and you can customize them further to meet your needs.

The game is free-to-play, but there will be in-game purchases. However, the developers have promised that there won’t be any pay-to-win transactions, and winning (or losing) will entirely depend on your skill.

There’s no demo to try out, and I expect the gameplay to be smoother than the last beta tests we had. For now, we have to wait for the launch to go live on June 4.
