Gigantic hits open beta at last on Xbox One and Windows 10

Still trucking

Thanks in large part to its vibrant art direction, Gigantic was a real attention-grabber when it first hit the scene. But how many of you ever bothered to sign up for and play the beta? Y’know, I never did!

That process is easier now as the third-person MOBA enters open beta on Xbox One (under the Preview Program label) and Windows 10. This is a free-to-play release, available in North America and Europe with cross-play between platforms, however there’s also an optional paid version as well.

The Founder’s Pack is $40, granting access to 16 heroes now, four more later in the beta, and skins. According to Perfect World, it’ll “follow on Arc (PC Windows) at a later date.”

If the free version is sufficient for you, expect to choose between six heroes on a weekly rotation and play on three maps (Siren’s Stand, Ghost Reef, and Sanctum Falls). It’s been a long road for Gigantic, and while it has a ways to go yet, this week’s open beta is a significant milestone for Motiga.
