Ghostbusters DS and Wii screens have ghosts and men who bust them

The original Ghostbusters flick needled its way into my consciousness. I can’t step into an elevator without thinking about cosmonauts or roaches and I definitely can’t stand on top of a skyscraper without conjuring up the image of a giant bipedal marshmallow lumbering up its sides. With the release of Atari’s Ghostbusers looming just as large, my focus on everyday tasks (eggs without possession, please) have become even more burdened by silly thoughts.

Today, Atari released more screenshots of the Wii and Nintendo DS versions of the game. The Wii version has a visual flair. It’s certainly no Afro Samurai, but the stylistic interpretation of Egon Spengler and company is impressive. Hamza got his hands on this version of the game earlier on his Atari preview tour and he seemed to like what he played of it.

I’m cautiously optimistic about the Nintendo DS version. It has a dated look if not a dated approach. Check out Hamza’s preview for more information.
