Ghost Recon: Future Soldier pushed back to 2011

Ubisoft has announced that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will now be coming out in early 2011. The game was slated for a Christmas release but pushed back due to a “very competitive environment” according to Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot. The move will help keep Future Soldier on everyone’s radar and gives the team more time to work on the game too.

I’m all for this delay. The clusterf*ck that was the major holiday releases of 2008 made the industry realize that spacing out major releases was in the best interest of everyone. Hell, the new Super Mario Galaxy 2 is coming out next week in May of all months!
