Get comfy: Assassin’s Creed II has 3 hours of cutscenes

Recommended Videos

Check out the BBFC’s classification on the upcoming game Assassin’s Creed II. They’re saying that there’s 3 hours of cutscenes included.

When submitted to the BBFC the linear elements within the work had a running time (eg cut scenes) of 181m 30s.

Oh, and there’s a 1 minute and 30 second trailer for the Avatar game in there as well.

I’m not out to say that 3 hours of cutscenes is a bad thing. And knowing Ubisoft and the brand, I’d bet they’re going to be 3 hours of pretty damned good cutscenes. I just hope that the game play time will compare favorably. In other words, I don’t mind watching, but I want more playing than watching.

The BBFC would normally list a run time, but they don’t do that for videogames.

Speaking of cutscenes, come back in a few minutes.
