New characters in Genshin Impact 4.7

Clorinde

Clorinde is Fontaine’s strongest Champion Duelist, carrying the legacy of the Marechausee Hunters. Though she’s a Sword user, she uses both her sword and pistol during combat.

Clorinde is a 5-star on-field Electro DPS. She uses her Elemental Skill to infuse her Normal Attacks with Electro, then uses alternating combos of Normal Attacks and Skills to deal damage. The flashy combo also has some built-in mobility, dashing back and forth between enemies. Like Arlecchino, Clorinde has Bond of Life mechanics, allowing her to use the Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy artifact set.

Sigewinne

Sigewinne is a Melusine, and the head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide. Unlike other Melusines, Sigewinne has a deep knowledge of human medicine and a strangely human-like appearance.

Sigewinne is a 5-star Hydro healer who uses a Bow. Her Skill summons a bubble that bounces between enemies, dealing a small amount of damage and healing allies. Her Burst deals Hydro damage and heals the team. Sigewinne also has Bond of Life mechanics, but she only applies Bond of Life to herself, not teammates.

Sethos

We’ve met Sethos during Genshin Impact’s Version 4.6 quests, and now, he joins the playable roster. Sethos is a desert guide who helps travelers survive the unforgiving deserts of Sumeru.

Sethos is a 4-star Electro Bow DPS character. He has a special piercing Charged Shot that consumes Energy to charge more quickly. He can also use his Burst to infuse his Normal Attacks with Electro. It sounds like Sethos will have two possible playstyles focusing on either his Charged Shots or Normal Attacks.

Genshin Impact 4.7 banners

The first half of Version 4.7 will feature Clorinde and Alhaitham. The 4-stars on this banner will include Sethos. The weapon banner will include Clorinde and Alhaitham’s signature weapons, Absolution and Light of Foliar Incision.

The banners in the second half of Version 4.7 will feature Sigewinne and Furina. The weapon banner will feature their respective signature weapons, Silvershower Heartstrings and Splendor of Tranquil Waters.

There will not be a Chronicled Wish event banner during Genshin Impact Version 4.7.

New game mode: Imaginarium Theater

Imaginarium Theater is a new permanent game mode coming to Genshin Impact Version 4.7. Travelers will battle through a series of stages, unlocking characters and buffs in a roguelike format.

You will select your initial lineup of characters, as well as additional characters you can unlock during your run. You will also be able to enlist the aid of a friend’s character during your challenge. Because the Imaginarium Theater will refresh on a cycle, we can expect different characters to receive buffs from cycle to cycle.

Prizes include Primogems, billets, and unique new poses for certain characters. These poses can be used in photo mode for unique picture-taking opportunities. New poses for different characters will be added periodically.

Genshin Impact 4.7 events

Mutual Security Enhancing Simulation

This event is composed of two different minigames. One has players advancing forward in a stage, destroying enemy turrets in order to capture their base. The other is more of a tower defense game, whereby you place turrets and monsters to prevent enemy advances.

The rewards from this event include a new 4-star Bow, Cloudforged, as well as its Refinements.

Endless Forms Most Martial

This is a combat event where players will defeat waves of enemies while fulfilling certain goals. Craft your team to trigger certain reactions or defeat enemies under specific conditions. Since progress can only be made by fulfilling these conditions, your team composition will matter more than your damage output.

Spino Doubleblaster

The Spinocrocodile blaster minigame is back! Shoot bubbles of water at target balls to earn points. There are new types of target balls to shoot at with different effects.

Record of Reflective Writing

Play as various trial characters and use their unique mobility skills to run around the stage and earn coins. Be sure to dodge the waves of bullets that come your way, though!

Leyline Overflow

Finally, Version 4.7 will close out with a Leyline Overflow event. Earn double rewards from Mora and character EXP Leylines.

Genshin Impact 4.7 new quests

The two new 5-star characters will receive their own Story Quests. Clorinde’s Story Quest will explore the history of the Marechausee Hunters. Sigewinne’s Story Quest investigates a mysterious disease in Fontaine and may explain Sigewinne’s human-like appearance.

A new Archon Quest chapter will be added, titled “Bedtime Story.” Dainslief returns for the first time since Version 3.5 over a year ago. The Traveler will also finally meet their twin face to face. Maybe we’ll learn more about what our twin has been up to, or maybe we’ll just be left with more questions. The only way to find out is by playing the quest when it releases.

Other updates

There are a few system updates, including a reduced Adventure Rank required to access the Encounters system, which streamlines daily commissions. The Resin cap will also be increased to 200, and a new Recommended function will allow players to quickly generate artifact loadouts. We covered these changes in more detail in a separate post.

Animated short: “The Road Not Taken”

Though we don’t have word on the official Genshin Impact anime series, we were treated to a gorgeous animated short.

Natlan preview teaser

Finally, we’ve got our first view of Natlan! There are a variety of creatures with different traversal abilities. Does this mean we get to ride them? Or catch them like Pokémon? Only time will tell.
