Skirk is an upcoming playable character in Genshin Impact and is expected to be released in version 5.7. As her potential release window gets closer, new leaks are surfacing online, sharing info on her kit—including her skills, talents, and Constellations.
This article briefly discusses all of Skirk’s abilities in Genshin Impact.
Skirk kit in Genshin Impact leaked
Skirk is one of the characters in the silhouettes shown during the version 5.3 livestream. She is expected to be released in version 5.7 as a Cryo character.
According to the leaks via Seele, Skirk is likely to be a Sword user. This shouldn’t be surprising since she is usually referred to as the “mysterious swordswoman” and Childe’s master in Genshin Impact. The leaker also claims that Skirk is a pure main DPS unit that scales with ATK.
Next, let’s take a look at Skirk’s abilities, as per the leaks by Seele:
Elemental Skill
Skirk’s Elemental Skill has two versions, which have the following effects:
- Press: Skirk gains 45 Serpent’s Cunning and enters the Sevenfold Flash state.
- Hold: Skirk gains 45 Serpent’s Cunning and enters a rapid movement state, which increases her resistance to interruption. In this state, you can control the direction of her movement and end the state early by hitting the skill again.
Serpent’s Cunning is the new energy type for Skirk, which she uses to charge her Elemental Burst. Meanwhile, the Sevenfold Flash is an enhanced state that boosts her abilities.
Elemental Burst
Upon casting Elemental Burst, Skirk consumes the Serpent’s Cunning. When she has at least 50 Serpent’s Cunning points, she consumes all of them and performs rapid consecutive slashes, dealing AoE Cryo DMG. For every Serpent’s Cunning point above 50, up to a max of 12 points, Skirk’s Elemental Burst DMG is increased.
Additionally, when she is in the Sevenfold Flash state, her Burst is replaced with an enhanced version that doesn’t consume any Serpent’s Cunning. And upon activating the burst, Skirk gains the Withering Effect that lasts until the end of the Sevenfold Flash state. After you unlock Skirk’s first passive, she will also absorb nearby Phantom Rifts when casting the special Elemental Burst.
The Withering Effect has the following effects:
- When hitting an enemy with Normal Attacks, it deals increased damage.
- If Phantom Rifts are absorbed when casting the burst, the damage bonus will increase depending on the number of Rifts absorbed.
- This effect can be stacked up to 10 times and is removed after reaching the max stacks.
Skirk’s Elemental Burst looks pretty interesting as it increases her special Burst and Enhanced Normal Attacks DMG.
Talents
Listed below are Skirk’s potential talents in Genshin Impact:
- When a party member triggers Freeze, Superconduct, Cryo Swirl, or Cryo Crystallize, a Phantom Rift is created near the enemy. This effect can be triggered once every 2.5 seconds, and only three Rifts can exist on the field at a time. Each Phantom Rift will give Skirk eight Serpent’s Cunning points. Skirk can absorb Phantom Rifts through the following methods:
- Hitting an enemy with Charged Attack when in Sevenfold Flash state.
- Activating the special Elemental Burst when in Sevenfold Flash state.
- Holding the Elemental Skill to enter rapid movement mode.
- When nearby Hydro/Cryo party members (excluding Skirk) deal Hydro/Cryo DMG, Skirk gains a Styx Severance stack for 20 seconds. Each party member provides one stack, up to three stacks. The Styx Severance has the following effect:
- Normal Attack DMG in Sevenfold Flash state increases by 110%/120%/170%.
- Elemental Burst DMG increases by 105%/115%/160%.
- When the Elemental Type of all the party members is either Hydro or Cryo, the Elemental Skill talent level of the entire party is increased by one.
Based on Skirk’s leaked kit, she relies on her enhanced Normal Attacks and Elemental Burst to deal DMG. Furthermore, unlike other characters in the game, her Elemental Burst depends on her special energy bar instead of the Elemental Energy.
This also makes sense since the new Finale of the Deep Galleries artifact set is expected to be Skirk’s best-in-slot set, and the equipping unit must have 0 Elemental Energy to trigger all the bonus effects.
Constellations
Here are some of Skirk’s Constellations:
- C1: After absorbing a Phantom Rift, Skirk summons a Crystal Blade and strikes the nearby enemies, dealing Cryo DMG equal to 500% of her ATK. This damage is considered Charged Attack DMG. It also requires you to unlock her first talent to trigger the effect.
- C2: Gains 12 Serpent’s Cunning after casting Elemental Skill. Additionally, the DMG bonus gained when she has more than 50 Serpent’s Cunning is now calculated up to 24 points, and Normal Attack DMG in Sevenfold Flash state is increased by 60%.
- C4: Each Styx Severance stack increases Skirk’s ATK by 10%/20%/50%. Requires the second talent to be unlocked.
- C6: Skirk gains a stack of Surtalogi Edge every time she absorbs a Phantom Rift via the effects of her first talent. This effect lasts 15 seconds and can be stacked up to three times. Surtalogi Edge has the following effects:
- Upon casting Elemental Burst, she consumes all the stacks and unleashes coordinated attacks. Each stack deals Cryo DMG equal to 600% of her ATK, considered Elemental Burst DMG.
- When in Sevenfold Flash state, she consumes one stack to trigger three coordinated attacks, dealing Cryo DMG equal to 150% of her ATK, considered Normal Attack DMG.
- When Skirk takes damage in Sevenfold Flash state, she consumes one stack to reduce the incoming damage by 80% and unleashes three coordinated attacks. Each attack deals Cryo DMG equal to 150% of her ATK, considered Charged Attack DMG.
Since Skirk’s abilities are only based on leaks, it is subject to change. You will have to wait a little longer for more in-depth info.
