Genshin Impact 5.5 banners revealed

The Genshin Impact 5.5 banners have finally been revealed. The upcoming version will release a new 5-star character, Varesa, and feature rerun banners of three other amazing support characters in the game.

Genshin Impact 5.5 new character and rerun banners

Phase I banners

The first phase of the Genshin Impact 5.5 will feature the following characters:

• Varesa (5-star Electro) (New)
• Xianyun (5-star Anemo)

Varesa is the latest 5-star addition to the playable roster in the game. She is from the “Collective of Plenty” tribe and is a Catalyst user who excels in dealing Plunging Attack DMG. Lucky for players, Xianyun is the best support unit for Plunging DMG, and she will also get her long-awaited rerun banner in the first half of the update.

Their banners will begin on March 26, 2025, and will be available until April 15, 2025.

Meanwhile, the weapon banner will feature the following items in this half:

• Vivid Notions (5-star Catalyst)
• Crane’s Echoing Call (5-star Catalyst)

Vivid Notions is a new 5-star limited Catalyst and Varesa’s signature weapon, while Crane’s Echoing Call is Xianyun’s signature.

Phase II banners

The version 5.5 livestream confirmed that the following characters will get a rerun in the second phase:

• Venti (5-star Anemo)
• Xilonen (5-star Geo)

The Anemo Archon and the tone-deaf bard will finally be back with his fifth rerun banner in this half. While he may not be the best first Anemo support in the game, he’s still a very good character to have. Additionally, Xilonen will get her first rerun. She is one of the best support units that can not only provide healing but also give DMG bonuses to the party members depending on their elements. If you missed her previously, this is a great time to pull her since she is just as good as Kazuha, if not better.

You can also look forward to the following weapons in the second half of Genshin Impact 5.5:

• Elegy for the End (5-star Bow)
• Peak Patrol Song (5-star Sword)

Elegy of the End is Venti’s signature Bow, and Peak Patrol Song is Xilonen’s signature.

The Phase II banners will be released on April 15, 2025, and end on May 6, 2025.
