Word on the street is that Gears of War 2 is going to get yet another piece of downloadable content on top of next week’s Snowblind map pack. A user over on the game’s official forums stumbled across the above Asian Xbox LIVE Marketplace product page, but the forum post has since been deleted.
Dark Corners, according to the image above, appears to be the next DLC for Gears 2. While I don’t think it’s impossible that this could be another map pack, I do think it’s unlikely. In fact, I’m much more inclined to believe Dark Corners could very well be an addition to the Gears 2 single-player component.
This is all unconfirmed, of course, but with GDC 09 currently going on, it wouldn’t be unheard of to expect an update on the situation soon.
