Oh, hey there. Didn’t see you come in. How was last week? Did you not read Destructoid last week for some strange reason? Big mistake. Not only was Destructoid full of our standard glorious prose, but we had more gamescom and Games Developers Conference Europe coverage than you could possibly imagine. Seriously, look at it. LOOK AT IT!

Clearly a lot went down, and that fact is only backed up by the numbers that are coming out of the annual gaming conference that is held in Germany. Oh wait, that refers to both of them. Well, we’re talking about GDCE here. This year was the biggest GDCE ever, with a record breaking amount of paid attendees, media, speakers and exhibitors rolling in. This is with gamescom going on around the same time. Of course, it’s only the GDCE’s second year, but the convention is clearly becoming another major player.

And what do major players do? They come back again next year. GDCE has already confirmed that it will be returning next year from Aug. 15-17. It will once again be going on at almost the exact same time as gamescom.
