The above footage comes to you courtesy of my pal, the shakycam. It was shot from a screen projecting the in-game antics of the lovely Colette Bennett in the upcoming Prince of Persia: Rival Swords for the PSP. As you can see, the graphics are just a tick below the PlayStation 2 version of the past Prince of Persia titles, and the controls have translated quite nicely to the handheld. The version on display was an almost complete build, and when combined with the upcoming Afterburner title we showed you yesterday, should make for a much more successful future for Sony’s wee baby.
Whether or not the PSP can even vaguely come close to the runaway success of the DS is anyone’s guess, but at least all the kids who blew their hard earned cash on Sony’s black handheld will have some games to play that don’t end in the word “Stories”.
