As announced at E3 2009, EA Sports is adding to the EA Sports Active experience with the cleverly titled EA Sports Active: More Workouts. Due out in November, the title will have over 35 new exercises including a fresh abdominal routine. It will also have a new six-week challenge geared specifically to players’ fitness levels.
During Electronic Arts gamescom press conference, Peter Moore took the stage to explore the content. Dubbing it “fun and easy,” Moore brandished a nunchuck and Wii remote and exercised with the game on the stage. We watched a virtual Moore running around a bland track hurdling and ducking under the higher hurdles. We also glimpsed a pedestal balance game, where Moore was tasked with not only keeping balance with one foot, but also jumping to others suspended above not-shark-filled waters.
Also, he turned cranks.
Just for reference here, Moore’s physical movements were minimal. The running was a light jog in-place jog and the hurdling was cued from a simple jump. This addition is old people safe; confirmed.
