Apparently, there’s a remake of Clash of the Titans slated for next year. Yep, Liam Neeson is even going to play Zeus. Who knew? There’s also a videogame adaptation of said remake that was being developed by Games Republic and published by the late Brash Entertainment.
Up until now, everyone just assumed the project was eternally stuck in development hell, but Kotaku reports that Namco Bandai has come to the game’s rescue and picked up the publishing rights. The game will be out in spring 2010, following the release of the movie, and won’t directly mimic the flick.
With no screenshots or significant details other than the game’s inclusion of at least one-hundred different creatures, this is an awful lot to go on, I know. If anything, I’m just happy for an excuse to have Clash of the Titans on my mind.
Since this post has no doubt given you a hankering for some hot Medusa action, I’d like to point out that the film is up on Netflix for instant viewing. It’s 2:00 AM, so it isn’t like you’ve got anything better to do.
