GC 09: Mass Effect 2’s ‘Grunt’ looks mean, also young

Commander Shepard has to assemble the nastiest and deadliest cast of characters around him if he — and the rest of human civilization — is to have a chance at finding out why his race is disappearing in Mass Effect 2. The faceless assassin Thane is one of these characters. Add Grunt to the sure-to-be-growing list.

Grunt is described as an erratic Krogan who never felt defeat. Like Wrex, Grunt is billed as a strong fighter with a mean streak. The official release questions his loyalty, which we’ll take as a good thing. Grunt is like the Wrex we’ll never have — but we may see — in the next Mass Effect.
