GameStop offering Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo with reserves

An Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer demo will be available before the game hits store shelves this October. The demo won’t be available as a cost-free download over PlayStation Network. Gaining access to it will require some cash.

The bastion of civilization, GameStop, is currently offering the multiplayer demo as an exclusive gift for those willing to reserve the title. According to the official GameStop Web site, the demo will be available from August 19 to September 27.

Details about the demo’s content haven’t been given. We’re guessing that it will include stuff that isn’t in the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta: a couple of new modes, perhaps a new map or two, different weapons, and fiction-cracking aliens.

The Uncharted 2 beta ends on June 28.

In addition to a multiplayer demo, GameStop is offering “an unlockable booster” dubbed “The Revenge Attribute.” It will, apparently, allow players to have instant access to something that would otherwise need to be unlocked through multiplayer play. Awesome.

If you’re revved enough to buy Uncharted 2: Among Thieves the day it hits stores, you may want to consider giving the folks at GameStop some bills in exchange for a pre-order. These offerings are quite hot, even if you loathe the franchise.
